Why Should We Supplements?

The purpose of supplementing is to fill in the gaps that are left from our daily diet.  Unfortunately, our American diet lacks in many areas, and our health suffers from it, and in some cases drastically!  As a society, we understand the need that we don't get enough nutrients on a daily basis, however the answer that many of us take as true is isolated vitamins will fill that gap, but that isn't true!

Imagine with me for a moment.

Your family budget is suffering from the weight that the economy has put on what you bring in regularly, and although you do your best, you never seem to have enough.  You decide to supplement your income by getting a second job.  How would you feel if you employer paid you with pennies, instead of dollars?  Do you feel that would feel the gap that you expected by taking a second job?  Certainly not, although pennies are in fact currency, it isn't dollars.

This same analogy can be understood if you consider your second job (your choice of supplement) filling the gap that your regular job (daily diet) can not do on it's own.  You would never expect to only take pennies (isolated vitamins) when only dollars (whole food nutrition) will do the job.  Nutrition from whole food supplements are just like taking that second job to fill in the gaps, and expecting the supplements to go a long way to bettering your health and extra income could do for a family budget.

Knowing that in fact many families are feeling the crunch on their budget during our national economic situation, they tend to eat less healthy in the attempt to stretch they budget.  What better reason to invest in whole food nutriton in a supplement form knowing that the gap you diet leaves is even bigger than it may have been last year!

Understanding that isolated vitamins are not the answer but in fact, whole food nutrition working together to be absorded and used in the body.  Americans do not get enough nutrition from health promoting fruits and vegetables, or omega-3 fatty acids. That is why my family takes
fruits and vegetables in a capsules and cod liver oil which is the best source of omega-3 fatty acids!
